Emissions reduction pathway, self-consumption, the winter gap. Your clients expect energy concepts that think beyond heat pumps, PV and batteries. Battery storage covers day-night balancing; for seasonal shifting there has so far been no variant that can be implemented in an occupied building. The reference work “Areale und Quartiere” (ed. Gugerli, 2024) places seasonal energy storage with hydrogen. The solar obligation and the negative feed-in prices to be expected from 2027 make storage a mandatory component of every larger PV installation. That very option now exists as a plannable system.

A DMES stores surplus electricity as hydrogen in metal hydride, as a solid at just 35 bar, and returns it as electricity and heat. It is the only large-scale storage system permitted inside an occupied building. The world's first installation has been running at full load in Eich LU since April 2024 and supplies operating data, design values and a referenced safety concept in accordance with SVGW H10001. Your independence remains untouched. We work without commissions and without referral models. You receive data and technical basics; the recommendation remains yours.
