For villas and estates

Independence you neither hear nor see.

Electricity and heat from your own reserve when the grid fails.

Dezentrale Multi-Energie-Systeme // DMES

Generous Swiss estate on a slope with calm architecture, photovoltaics flush with the roof and well-kept grounds

A battery carries you through the night.

For balancing day and night a home battery is the right choice, and it can also run a heat pump. As a reserve for an emergency it runs into a physical limit. Once it is empty it has to be recharged, and that is exactly what December does not allow. A snow-covered roof delivers a fraction, and the battery stays empty. On top of that, a battery that stands fully charged as a reserve for a year ages by the calendar and loses capacity. You are paying for storage you do not use and that grows weaker all the same. The classic way out is a generator. That means fuel deliveries, regular test runs, noise and a reserve that ages. Independence looks different.

A DMES carries you through the winter.

In summer the surplus from your installation is converted into hydrogen on site and bound chemically in metal hydride, as a solid at just 35 bar. This reserve does not discharge by itself. What was stored in July is still there unchanged in January, and it comes back as electricity and as heat. Because energy volume and output scale separately, the reserve can be enlarged without raising the fire load in the house. The system stands quietly in the plant room, without a container in the garden and without a generator you can hear. On request we design it to be black-start capable, so it keeps supplying the building it stands in during a grid outage. The world’s first installation of its kind has been running since April 2024 in a villa in Eich and can be visited.

Summer // surplus

  1. Photovoltaics Own production on the roof
  2. Electrolysis Electricity becomes hydrogen and heat
  3. H₂ in metal hydride Solid state at 35 bar, inside the building

Winter // demand

  1. Fuel cell Hydrogen becomes electricity and heat
  2. Electricity Site, vZEV and LEG, grid
  3. Heat Heating, hot water, heat network
While charging, the waste heat of the electrolysis supports the hot water preparation; on every cycle the fuel cell covers it in full.

over 75 % overall efficiency with combined electricity and heat use · over 30 years service life · 0.5 to 16 MWh per room · modularly scalable to over 100 MWh

What your property should bring with it.

0.5 MWh

The smallest expansion stage. Around thirty times a home battery. A DMES is not a bigger battery but a category of its own.

10 m²

Plant room. That is how much floor space the smallest expansion stage needs inside the building, dry, ventilated and accessible.

Your own generation

A PV installation on the property. It delivers the summer surplus from which the winter reserve is built.

Heat distribution

In place or planned. A heat pump, underfloor heating or a heat store, so that the waste heat reaches the house.

35 bar

Solid-state storage at low pressure. No self-discharge, no lithium in the long-duration store, no fuel in a tank.

30+ years

Service life. Storage performance is guaranteed by the manufacturer for over 20 years. Designed as part of the building, not as a device.

What you are buying is independence.

In a private property a DMES does not pay for itself through the electricity price. Anyone looking for a payback period will not find one here. You are buying security of supply over weeks instead of hours, heat in winter from your own reserve and an infrastructure designed for decades. Like a shelter, it is an investment whose value does not show up on the electricity bill but on the day you need it.

Discreetly planned, properly permitted.

Inside the house, not in the garden.

The system is integrated like building services. No container outdoors, no constant noise from a generator, nothing that disturbs the architecture or the neighbourhood.

Capable of approval under SVGW H10001.

Confidential first conversation

In one conversation we clarify whether your property meets the conditions and what autonomy is realistic. Without sales pressure. Anyone who would like to see the installation visits the world premiere in Eich. An hour on site says more than any brochure.
